Jonathan M Shapiro




Holding a strong commitment to representing the interests of individual workers and unions, Mr. Shapiro focuses his practice on labor and employment issues. He handles cases before various federal, state, and administrative tribunals, and provides counsel to union clients on matters such as internal governance, collective bargaining, and election procedure. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shapiro worked at two union-side firms and in-house at a large union. He also represented the interests of working people as head of legislative affairs for a New York state senator. Before law, Mr. Shapiro was a statehouse and city hall reporter for a daily newspaper and an NPR affiliate. Mr. Shapiro earned his bachelor’s degree from Emory University and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. During law school, he was awarded the Dean’s Merit & Academic Achievement Scholarships. Mr. Shapiro is a member of the New York bar.
