Jonathan M. Shapiro




Mr. Shapiro concentrates his practice on representing workers and labor unions. He provides counsel on a wide range of issues, including compliance with the National Labor Relations Act, ERISA, and anti-discrimination laws. He represents unions in contract negotiations, arbitrations, federal and state court, and before administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shapiro worked at two union-side firms and in-house at a large union. He also served as head of legislative affairs for a New York state senator. Before law, he was a statehouse and city hall reporter. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Emory University and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, where he was awarded the Dean’s Merit & Academic Achievement Scholarships.
