Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy

The firm has served as counsel to trustees in Chapter 11 proceedings, and has represented both secured and unsecured creditors, official and unofficial creditors' committees. We have also been appointed as receiver in security matters, and have been counsel to court appointed receivers in receivership actions. In that capacity we have engaged in litigation to recover estate assets, perform claims administration to settle claims of, and distribute estate assets to, defrauded creditors. We have been successful in trials in the bankruptcy courts, and have handled bankruptcy matters in the Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court of the United States.
